A Visit to Prescott

Recently we headed back home to Prescott for a week.  This was Trey's first flight!  And he sure was a good boy!  But we didn't expect anything less right?  I was a little nervous for the whole flight thing but with only 1 week we did not have enough time to waste any days driving.  So off we went!

We flew Southwest out of Tulsa so we were able to have a direct flight.  We got lucky and ended up on a flight that was not full so Trey got his own seat!  We gave him a bottle during take off and he then napped for the whole first hour!  Then once he woke up he played with his toys.  Perfect baby I tell you!

The main reason for our visit was Roy's youngest brother's wedding.  Isaac and Robyn tied the knot on August 28th.  It ended up being the perfect day for a wedding.  A few sprinkles towards the end of the ceremony but nothing major.  Here is a picture of the wedding party.  Picture was taken by Brooke of Brooke Photography who is an amazing photographer if anyone is looking for one!

Here is another picture from Brooke that I just had to share.  I love this photo!  To celebrate Arizona turning 100 next February the whole downtown area was decorated with banners and flags.  The courthouse looked so pretty lined with Arizona flags!  Definitely made me miss my home state!

We certainly were busy while in town making sure we got in all our visits with family and friends!  As always we had a GREAT visit and here are some photos.

Yummy toes!

I think they are strategizing here...
 Facing off!
All that thinking, time for a nap!

Out to dinner with Great Grandma

Chase got called off to a fire the day before we got there so Roy didn't get to see his other brother :(  But we did get to hang out with Chase's girlfriend Gina!

Thank goodness Nana and Tata had a jumper at their house since Trey had to leave his at home.  He was going through withdrawals!  His cousin Alexis was joining in on the jumping fun!

Happy half birthday Trey!

Trey is 6 months old today.  I can hardly believe it!  He has grown up so much over the last month.  This past month he has learned to somewhat sit up and maneuver himself on the floor to get whatever toy he is after.  Whether it's by rolling multiple times or scooching himself around he is pretty good at managing his way to whatever it is he wants.  I don't think crawling is too far away.  His babbles have turned into defined "da da da da da" but I don't count it as a word yet because he just says it whenever and hasn't related it to Roy yet.  He also loves jumping in his jumper.  He will jump away for an hour in that thing a lot of times.  When we hold him he has started to kick his legs like he is in his jumper if we have not put him in it for awhile.  I also don't think teeth are too far away.  The amount of drooling has increased quite a bit this month and everything goes straight to his mouth including his toes!  Here is an update on his monthly progress pics.

Celebrating Oliver!

Recently I threw a baby shower for my good friend Janet.  She is due October 10th and once sweet baby Oliver gets here Trey will have his first best friend!  They will be 7 months apart and I am sure will cause all kinds of trouble together!
I had so much fun preparing everything for this shower.  I would love to do party planning as a full time job!  From creating the theme, to researching the internet for good ideas, to pulling it all together, I love it all!  For now though, it will remain a hobby that I do for my friends for free!  Ashley was kind enough to host at her house.  Here are some pictures from the shindig of all the things I made!

A New Adventure

I have decided to give blogging a try!  For several years now I have enjoyed following certain blogs and always thought I should create one.  Some of my favorites are Heather DriveAnnie's Eats, and Kevin and Amanda.
Well, here it is, I am finally doing it!  I plan to update the blog with Trey pics and milestones (of course!), recipes I've tried, and craft projects I've done.  The purpose is mainly for friends and family to stay updated on our hectic life.  And who knows, maybe I will get enough followers to "make it big" in the blogging world.
